If your laptop did not come configured with built in bluetooth, and you would like to add it now, its actually a really simple process to do so.
First, you need to order a blue tooth module from Dell. The specific model you need is the Dell 355 with EDR. Dell sells them on their website for around $20 + shipping. Once you get your module, the installation process is simple. First, in your package, you will receive several stickers. To abide by the FCC laws, you must adhere one of these to the bottom portion of your laptop. There is a section of 4 rectangular boxes that they fit in perfectly to.
Next pull the module out of the packaging. As you can see it is very small in size.
Now, with your laptop disconnected from power, and battery pulled out, pry up the top plastic piece above the keyboard. There is a small notch by the right hand hinge of the laptop screen that you can stick a screw driver into to help you pry it up. Once it is open, you will notice a small white cable with a rectangular opening. This is where the blue tooth module goes.

Once it is connected and slid into place, all that it takes is putting the plastic back on and you can boot up your computer. Once you enter windows, use the included cd, or get the driver software from dells website. Once you install that software, you should be good do go. If the device is not recognized, check your BIOS settings such that the module is enabled. (Hit F2 immediately when you power on your computer). Enjoy your newly bluetooth equipped laptop!
